JAC Motors JS4 History

The JAC JS4 (launched in China as the Jiayue X4 on June 27, 2020, and exported under the JS4 badge from 2021) is a compact SUV that became JAC's primary export product in the early-to-mid 2020s. Offered with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine and available advanced driver-assistance systems including a 360-degree camera, the JS4 is positioned as a value-oriented compact crossover for international markets.

An all-electric variant, the e-JS4, was exported to Mexico in 2022 and to additional markets subsequently. The JS4 represents JAC's shift toward purpose-built export models that can compete directly with mainstream Korean and Japanese compact SUVs on price in emerging markets.
