History
The GMC Hummer EV SUV followed the pickup as a shorter-wheelbase sport-utility on the same Ultium platform. Production began on January 30, 2023, with the 2024 model year as the SUV's first.
It shares the pickup's electric off-road hardware — including CrabWalk four-wheel steering, removable Infinity Roof panels, and an extract-mode air suspension — in a more maneuverable body. The launch Edition 1 again used a three-motor setup with around 1,000 hp.
