History

Launched in May 2023 at a starting price of approximately 82,800 yuan ($11,300 USD), the Yep marked Baojun's pivot to an entirely electrified lineup. The two-door, four-seat mini SUV measures just 3,381 mm long with a 2,110 mm wheelbase, and is powered by a 50 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor with a 28.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery delivering a CLTC range of 303 km.

The Yep became notable for an unusual exterior LCD screen mounted at the rear — a 300 × 256 mm display used to show messages, emojis, or animations to other drivers. A larger Yep Plus variant followed in 2024. Together they anchor Baojun's repositioned, youthful electric brand identity.
