History

Debuted at the 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show and launched in 2017, the 510 became Baojun's most successful model by a wide margin. It recorded approximately 416,883 sales in its first twelve months on the market, and by June 2019 cumulative deliveries had approached 800,000 units — making it one of the fastest-selling new nameplates in Chinese automotive history.

Powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder producing around 112 hp, the 510 was positioned as an entry-level, value-focused subcompact crossover. A minor facelift arrived for 2019. Sales fell sharply after 2019 as competition intensified and Baojun's lineup transitioned toward electrification; the 510 was phased out in 2021.
