Baojun 530 History
History
Unveiled at Auto Guangzhou 2017 and going on sale in February 2018, the 530 was the direct successor to the Baojun 560 in the compact SUV slot. It took design cues from the smaller 510 and was offered in five- and seven-seat configurations.
Notably, the 530's platform underpinned the seventh-generation Chevrolet Captiva for export markets including Southeast Asia and the Middle East — a rare instance of a Baojun-derived product reaching global showrooms under a different badge. The 530 itself was discontinued in China in 2021.
