History

The Haval Jolion (Chinese name: 哈弗初恋, 'first love') was first shown at the October 2020 Beijing Auto Show and went on sale in 2021 as the direct successor to the H2. Built on the L.E.M.O.N. (B30) platform shared with the third-generation H6, it offered a more modern design, improved safety, and 1.5L turbocharged petrol or hybrid powertrains.

Though domestic Chinese sales of the Jolion ended in 2021 as Haval refreshed its home-market lineup, the model continued as a major export product in Australia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, South Africa, Mexico, and Russia. ANCAP awarded the Jolion a 5-star safety rating in 2022, boosting its credibility in mature markets. A Jolion Pro (export edition) with updated styling was introduced in 2024.
