Ginetta G33 History

The G33 speedster appeared in 1990 as a sleeker, more purposeful companion to the G27, sharing the same tubular chassis and suspension architecture but wearing smoother bodywork with a distinctive cut-off-corner windscreen. Standard equipment was the 3.9-litre Rover V8 producing around 200 hp, sufficient for a 145 mph top speed and a sub-5-second 0–60 mph run.

Between 90 and 100 examples were built before financial difficulties caught up with Ginetta and G33 production ended in early 1994. The G33 is regarded as one of the most driver-focused cars of the pre-Tomlinson era and remains a sought-after classic in UK kit-car circles.
