GAC Aion LX History

The Aion LX was revealed at Auto Shanghai in April 2019, with pre-sales beginning in August 2019 and production from October 2019, making it one of the earliest models in the Aion portfolio. It was positioned as the brand's flagship — a larger, more premium electric SUV above the Aion V — with longer range and advanced driver-assistance features.

The LX has served as GAC Aion's technology halo vehicle, showcasing the brand's advances in battery range and autonomous driving capability. It targets buyers wanting a premium Chinese EV alternative to imported models.
