Changan UNI-T History

The UNI-T was presented in China in late March 2020 and went on sale in June 2020, introducing Changan's UNI sub-line of more design-forward, premium-feeling vehicles positioned above the standard CS series. Its signature feature was an almost grille-less front fascia influenced by aerospace design language — a striking departure for a Chinese mass-market brand.

Powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine producing around 177 hp, the UNI-T targeted buyers in the 100,000–150,000 yuan range and helped Changan compete against joint-venture brands in that segment. A PHEV variant has also been offered.
