History
The CS55 debuted at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show and launched in China later that year, slotting between the CS35 and CS75 in Changan's crossover lineup. It offered a turbocharged petrol engine and modern styling aimed at younger urban buyers.
A significant update in 2019 introduced the CS55 Plus branding with a completely restyled front and rear. The second-generation CS55 Plus followed in March 2021, and the model has continued receiving regular updates — including a third-generation facelift in 2025 — remaining one of Changan's mainstay volume crossovers.
