History

The CS75 debuted at the 2013 Guangzhou Auto Show and launched on the Chinese market in 2014, immediately setting records: sales exceeded 50,000 units in year one, climbing to over 209,000 in 2016 and peaking at nearly 240,000 in 2017. The nameplate became Changan's most important single model and helped cement its place among China's top four automaker groups.

The second generation arrived as the CS75 Plus at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show, with the original CS75 continuing in production alongside it. Subsequent annual updates — marketed as third-generation and fourth-generation CS75 Plus — kept it at the top of the compact SUV charts. By the mid-2020s, the CS75 series had accumulated cumulative sales exceeding 2.6 million units, averaging one sale every two minutes at peak. A PHEV variant extended its appeal into the new-energy era.
