Changan F70 (Kaicene) History
History
The F70 was first shown at the 2019 Chongqing Auto Show and officially launched on October 28, 2019, marketed under the Kaicene sub-brand — a Changan-PSA joint venture. The collaboration gave the F70 a notably European interior feel: its cabin features a floating 10-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto drawn directly from Peugeot, alongside piano-key controls on the centre console.
Engine options included a 2.4-litre turbocharged petrol in 211 hp and 218 hp states of tune, and diesel variants. A refreshed successor — the Changan Lantuozhe (览拓者), also called the Hunter in some markets — launched in China in 2022, carrying the pickup lineup forward into the PHEV era.
