Bajaj Dominar 400 History

The Dominar 400 was unveiled in late 2016 and went on sale in January 2017, marking Bajaj's most ambitious entry into the premium segment to date. Its 373.3cc liquid-cooled triple-spark engine is derived from the KTM 390 Duke platform (Bajaj holds a major stake in KTM parent Pierer Mobility), making it one of the most technically advanced motorcycles produced under the Bajaj badge.

Positioned as a power-tourer capable of long-distance highway riding, the Dominar received USD (upside-down) front forks in a 2019 update along with revised styling and factory-fit touring accessories. The model crossed 100,000 cumulative global sales, validating Bajaj's push into the ₹1.5–2.5 lakh premium segment.
