History
The CT 100 entered the market around 2004 as a replacement for the Bajaj Boxer, targeting the absolute base of the commuter pyramid with a 100cc air-cooled engine optimised for fuel economy. An initial production run was discontinued in 2006 before the model was revived in 2015 with updated graphics and alloy wheels.
The relaunched CT 100 reclaimed Bajaj's position at the entry price point and became the brand's tool for competing with Hero's entry models in price-sensitive rural markets. Fuel economy of around 75–104 km/L (depending on variant and era) has been its principal selling proposition throughout its life.
