Avatr Avatr 06 History

The Avatr 06 was officially launched on April 20, 2025 with a starting price of RMB 209,900 (approximately US$28,750), making it the most affordable model in the Avatr range and the brand's first genuine volume play. Pre-sales opened on March 27, 2025 and generated 20,117 orders within 26 hours, signalling strong demand at the lower price point. By the end of 2025 approximately 32,358 06 units had been sold combining BEV and EREV variants.

At 4,855 mm long on a 2,940 mm wheelbase, the 06 sedan is sized below the flagship Avatr 12 while offering the same three-powertrain choice: a 252 kW pure-electric rear-drive variant, a 440 kW dual-motor all-wheel-drive version, and a range-extended hybrid with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine. CATL LFP batteries (31.7–87.3 kWh) supply the electric range of 610–650 km (CLTC, EV). The car runs Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.0 autonomous-driving system and HarmonyOS cockpit.

A station wagon variant badged Avatr 06T was teased in February 2026 and opened pre-sales on April 8, 2026, extending the 06 body to 4,940 mm and adding roof rails, a sporty body kit, and a cargo bay depth of 2.15 metres with rear seats folded. The 06T became Avatr's first wagon body style.
