Allard K2 History

The K2 was Allard's road-going two-seater sports car of the early 1950s, built on a slightly revised version of the K1 platform. UK-market cars used Ford or Mercury V8 engines; US-specification K2s could be ordered with Chrysler or Cadillac power, making them genuinely potent American-market propositions.

119 K2s were produced between 1950 and 1952. The K2 occupied the touring end of Allard's lineup while the concurrent J2 handled competition duties — the two shared their basic architecture but were tuned and bodied for very different purposes.
