History

First shown online in August 2022 and reaching buyers in Q1 2023, the Zeekr 009 is the brand's second production vehicle and its push into the lucrative high-end Chinese MPV segment dominated by the Toyota Alphard. At roughly 5.2 metres in length with a 3.2-metre wheelbase, it sits firmly in full-size MPV territory and targets the affluent family and business-travel buyer with a 2+2+2 platinum six-seat configuration.

Power comes from a dual-motor AWD powertrain producing around 400 kW (536 hp) with a 0–100 km/h claim of 4.5 seconds — unusual performance for a vehicle of this size. Battery options span 116 kWh (702 km CLTC) and 140 kWh (822 km CLTC). The flagship Grand trim adds a massive 43-inch cabin screen and an 800V charging system using a 108 kWh CATL Qilin pack. A further update in 2026 upgraded the architecture to 900V for even faster charging.

The 009 has been exported and sold in several overseas markets including Singapore and parts of Europe, positioning Zeekr's MPV offering as a credible alternative to Japanese van-segment incumbents at the premium end.
