History

Officially unveiled on 15 December 2024 and named after the Carthaginian general Hannibal, the Annibal is Wallyscar's most ambitious product: a full-size body-on-frame pickup developed in partnership with ZXAUTO, a Chinese manufacturer with decades of pickup experience. The Annibal was announced in June 2024 and launched in two variants — standard and the extended-wheelbase Annibal XXL.

The standard Annibal 4×2 and 4×4 are powered by a 2.5-litre diesel producing 136 hp and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The XXL steps up to a 2.3-litre four-cylinder turbo engine making 163 hp and 380 Nm, mated to an 8-speed automatic. At 5.393 metres long, 2.045 metres wide, and 1.965 metres tall, the XXL is sized to compete in the African work-truck segment that Wallyscar explicitly targets.

Pricing started at 88,900 DT (standard) and 138,800 DT for the XXL 4×4. Standard kit includes a touchscreen, automatic climate control, reversing radar and camera, and electronic anti-theft; the XXL adds lane-keeping assist, a 360-degree camera system, and cruise control.
