History

Wallyscar introduced the 619 in 2021 as the brand's first conventional passenger hatchback — a five-door body that broadened its appeal beyond the off-road niche the Izis and Iris occupied. The 619 is mechanically derived from the Iranian manufacturer Saipa's 111 platform (itself a long-running compact), rebadged and fitted with revised front and rear styling for the Tunisian market.

The move reflected Wallyscar's strategy to expand volume by offering an affordable everyday car alongside its signature fiberglass off-roaders. With 57 percent of parts sourced locally in Tunisia, the 619 also reinforced the company's manufacturing-content claims and its case for government support as a domestic industry.
