History

Voyah introduced the Passion (Chinese: 追光, Zhuīguāng — meaning 'chasing light') in December 2022 and delivered the first units in April 2023 after its public debut at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. At 5,088 mm long on a 3,000 mm wheelbase, the Passion is dimensionally larger than the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, yet positioned at a more accessible price point in China's premium electric sedan market. The BEV version uses a dual-motor AWD system producing 503 hp (375 kW) and 730 Nm; buyers choose between an 82.1 kWh pack (580 km CLTC) or a 108.7 kWh pack (730 km CLTC).

The PHEV variant arrived in December 2023 combining a 1.5-litre petrol engine with twin electric motors for 530 hp (390 kW) combined output, a 43 kWh battery with 262 km BEV range (CLTC), and a combined hybrid range of 1,260 km — all from a 36,670 USD starting price in China. A longer-wheelbase flagship, the Passion L, opened pre-sales in September 2025 and launched commercially in China on 10 December 2025 as a plug-in hybrid, priced from 279,900 CNY (about 39,600 USD), with roughly 650 hp, an 800V architecture, a combined range of about 1,400 km, and Huawei Qiankun ADS 4.0 driver-assistance hardware.
