TVR Tuscan History

Reviving a 1960s name for an all-new car, the Tuscan Speed Six went on sale in 1999 with bold, organic styling and a removable roof panel. It was powered exclusively by TVR's own Speed Six straight-six in 3.6 and 4.0-litre forms (roughly 350–400 bhp), driving the rear wheels with no ABS, airbags or traction control.

The Tuscan became one of the defining TVRs of the 2000s and gained wider fame as the car driven in the 2001 film Swordfish. A racing version contested the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2003 and 2004. About 1,677 were built before the Blackpool factory wound down.
