History
Alongside the cars, Hudson built light commercial vehicles on the Terraplane chassis. They appeared from 1933 and, sharing the car's smooth six and light, quick chassis, gave the Terraplane line a car-based pickup and express-bodied delivery offering.
Commercial Terraplanes were produced in fair numbers by 1936, and the 1937 Terraplane pickup is a well-documented survivor of the type — a stylish, car-derived light truck that carried the Terraplane name through the marque's final years before the line folded into Hudson for 1938.
