DINA D-1000 / D-3000 / D-3200 Pickup History

In 1974, DINA formed a subsidiary called Maquiladora Automotriz Nacional (MAN) to assemble light pickup trucks under the DINA brand. The initial D-1000, D-3000, and D-3200 models used technology and platform architecture licensed from International's Scout line, fitted with Perkins diesel engines.

A later iteration replaced the International-derived sheetmetal with bodies closely resembling Chevrolet's Custom-series pickups, though still badged as DINA. MAN ceased truck production in 1983, ending DINA's brief excursion into the light-vehicle segment and returning the company's focus exclusively to heavy commercial vehicles.
