History
After the 2001 shutdown of the Ciudad Sahagún truck plant, DINA spent several years developing new chassis technology derived from the HTQ platform. In May 2008, the company announced the restart of DINA Camiones with four new urban bus models: the Linner (rear engine), Runner (front engine), Picker (front engine), and Outsider (rear engine, 11 m, suburban use).
The relaunch represented a US$100 million investment and initially employed 450 workers directly and 750 indirectly, with a rated capacity of 23 units per day and five dealer concessions across Mexico. The Runner was offered in 10- and 11-meter lengths with one or two doors and fabric or plastic seating.
In 2010 DINA added the Linner G, a natural-gas-powered variant, reflecting Mexico City's fleet-electrification and clean-fuel mandates. The Hustler cargo truck followed in 2011 for container transport, and in 2013 the company returned to long-distance service with the Buller intercity coach, rounding out an increasingly diversified modern lineup.
