Tank Tank 700 History

Pre-sales for the Tank 700 opened at the Guangzhou Auto Show in late 2023 and customer deliveries began in February 2024 in China. It represents Tank's most ambitious model: a full-size, body-on-frame luxury SUV measuring 5,090 mm long with a 3,000 mm wheelbase, pitched at affluent buyers who want both serious off-road capability and a premium interior.

The primary powertrain is a plug-in hybrid combining a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with a P2 electric motor for a combined output of 516 hp and 800 Nm, mated to a nine-speed automatic; the setup delivers 0–100 km/h in approximately 5 seconds. A 37.1 kWh battery provides around 90 km of electric-only range (WLTC). Off-road hardware includes triple differential locks, air suspension, disconnectable anti-roll bars, and up to 282 mm of ground clearance.
