History

Launched alongside the T-series on 20 August 2004, the Scania P-series occupies the lower cab-height tier of the PRT range, sharing engines and chassis components with its siblings through Scania's modular build philosophy. Its compact, low-entry cab makes it the preferred choice for urban distribution, construction, and applications where height restrictions or site access dictate a shorter vehicle.

A second-generation P-series arrived with the 2016 New Generation refresh, adopting an updated cab shared structurally across the P, G, and R families. The P-series is the highest-volume Scania truck globally, serving municipal, refuse, tanker, and short-haul sectors across all markets.
