RUF SCR History

Introduced at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the SCR revives the name of Ruf's original naturally aspirated 911 SC conversion from 1978. Like the CTR Anniversary it sits on a bespoke carbon-fibre monocoque designed and built by Ruf — no Porsche body tub beneath. The 4.0-litre naturally aspirated rear-mounted flat-six produces 510 PS (503 hp) at 8,270 rpm, giving the car an old-school, high-revving character.

Weighing approximately 1,200 kg and limited to around 15 cars per year at a price near €650,000, the SCR is conceived as the driver's alternative to the turbocharged CTR Anniversary. Its top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph) is achieved without forced induction — a deliberate nod to the visceral simplicity of Ruf's earliest naturally aspirated machines.
