Ringbrothers Recoil (1966 Chevelle) History
History
Debuted at the 2014 SEMA Show, the Recoil was built around a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle shell and took approximately 5,000 hours to complete. Ringbrothers fitted a Wegner Motorsports LS7 topped with a Whipple supercharger for 980 hp, then complemented the drivetrain with race-ready five-point harnesses and a full hand-laid carbon-fiber interior.
The exterior wore a custom 'Sand Storm' paint and was fabricated with an eye toward motorsport functionality over show-car flash. Recoil won the Chevrolet Best in Show award at SEMA 2014, the first of two consecutive Best in Show wins for the shop.
