History
The Defector marked Ringbrothers' first build based on a Chrysler/Mopar platform, debuted at the 2017 SEMA Show in the BASF booth. The team extended the wheelbase of the 1969 Dodge Charger by three inches and shortened the trunk by two inches to give the car more aggressive proportions before fitting a 6.4-liter Hemi V8.
More than 4,700 hours of fabrication went into the Defector, including custom one-off body panels and a fully bespoke interior. The build demonstrated that Ringbrothers' techniques — previously applied almost exclusively to GM and Ford platforms — translated equally well to Mopar iron.
