History

The XM3 debuted in South Korea in February 2020 as a locally produced coupe-styled crossover on Renault's CMF-B platform — the same underpinnings as the European Renault Arkana but built at Busan and with Korean-market tuning. It offered a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine and represented the brand's most stylish and modern product at launch, receiving a strong reception in the Korean market.

The XM3 was sold under the Renault Samsung brand through mid-2022, then transitioned to the Renault XM3 name following the first phase of the rebranding. It continued in Korean sale until 2024, when the model lineup was consolidated under the Renault Arkana name as part of the full rebranding effort.
