Renault Korea QM3 History
History
The QM3 arrived in 2013 as Renault Samsung's entry-level crossover, a rebadged version of the European Renault Captur riding the B0 platform. Small, stylish, and fuel-efficient, the QM3 tapped the growing Korean appetite for urban crossovers and was notable for being an imported (rather than Busan-built) product.
Production and sales of the QM3 continued through 2019. Though modest in volume compared with the QM6, it gave the brand a competitive foothold in the fast-growing subcompact SUV segment that would later be addressed by the locally produced XM3.
