Qoros Qoros 7 History

The Qoros 7 was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in November 2020 as the first all-new model developed under Baoneng Group's majority ownership, acquired in 2017. It was Qoros's flagship and largest vehicle to date, measuring 4,679 mm in length on a 2,720 mm wheelbase in a five-door, five-seat configuration. The front-end design inherited the language of Qoros's MILE II concept shown at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show.

Two turbocharged petrol engines were offered: a 1.6-litre inline-four producing 201 hp (150 kW) and 280 N·m, and a 1.8-litre inline-four with 228 hp (170 kW) and 300 N·m incorporating Valvetronic continuously variable valve lift technology. Both drove the front wheels through a seven-speed wet dual-clutch automatic. Combined fuel consumption was rated at 6.9–7.1 L/100 km under China VI. Despite the technically competitive specification, the Qoros 7 arrived too late to reverse the company's fortunes; Qoros formally dissolved in 2022 and applied for bankruptcy in January 2026.
