History
The first Persona launched in mid-2007 as a saloon companion to the Gen-2 hatchback, built on an extended Gen-2 platform and positioned to replace the ageing Wira. It offered a 1.6L CamPro engine with CVT options and accumulated 265,882 units by August 2015.
A second generation (BH) was unveiled in August 2016 on the Proton Iriz's platform, repositioned as a B-segment subcompact saloon with a 1.6L VVT engine and a completely re-engineered exterior. This generation remains in production as of 2026, with discontinuation planned later that year to make room for a next-generation model.
