OSCA FS 372 History

The FS 372 (also designated F2/S depending on category) was OSCA's most technically ambitious racer, developed between 1957 and 1959. Its defining feature was a desmodromic valve-train — positive mechanical closure rather than valve springs — applied to a 1.5-litre twin-cam four derived from the last MT4 engine. The system produced around 135 PS and allowed higher sustained rev limits.

Only five examples were constructed in total, making the FS 372 among the rarest competition cars of the period. One chassis was owned by Stirling Moss. The model competed in Formula 2 and sports-car events during its brief 1957–1959 production window before OSCA shifted focus toward road-going GT cars.
