MG MGC History

The MGC (1967–1969) was an MGB fitted with a 2,912 cc straight-six, intended partly as a successor to the big Austin-Healey 3000. Offered as a roadster and a GT, it was a quicker but nose-heavy car that handled differently from the four-cylinder B.

Mixed reviews and the heavier feel kept sales modest, and the MGC lasted only two years. It is now a sought-after classic precisely because of its rarity and six-cylinder character.
