History

The BE 6 (originally revealed as 'BE 6e' before a trademark dispute over the '6E' suffix with IndiGo prompted a name change) was launched in November 2024 and bookings opened on 14 February 2025, with deliveries commencing from mid-March 2025. It is Mahindra's first vehicle on the purpose-built INGLO electric platform, co-developed with Volkswagen Group technology.

Offering 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery options and up to 210 kW of power, the BE 6 accelerates 0–100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and supports 175 kW DC fast charging, reaching 20–80% charge in under 20 minutes. Priced from ₹18.90 lakh, it launched alongside the XEV 9e and the pair sold 30,000 units combined in their first seven months.
