History

The MKX launched for 2007 as a mid-size, two-row luxury crossover based on the Ford Edge, giving Lincoln a car-based SUV below the body-on-frame Navigator. A second generation arrived for 2016 with available twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 power.

As part of a 2018 mid-cycle update for the 2019 model year, the MKX was renamed Nautilus, ending the MKX badge as Lincoln moved away from its alphanumeric naming scheme.
