Laraki Borac History

Unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, the Borac marked a deliberate design departure from the mid-engine, Lamborghini-based Fulgura. Laraki repositioned the powertrain ahead of the driver in a more traditional grand-tourer layout, and even drew up the possibility of two small rear seats — a first for the brand.

The Borac used a naturally aspirated Mercedes-Benz 6.0-litre V12, tuned to a more modest 540 hp compared with the turbocharged Fulgura. Laraki quoted a top speed of 193 mph (310 km/h) and a 0–60 mph time of 4.5 seconds, with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Production was originally targeted for 2011, but a final production design was never formally revealed and the Borac did not enter manufacture. It remains a design study that demonstrated Laraki's ambition to evolve beyond the Diablo donor platform, even if that evolution never reached customers.
