The Fulgura debuted at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show as Laraki's inaugural model and Africa's first internationally exhibited supercar prototype. Founder Abdeslam Laraki, who had previously built luxury yachts, chose the Lamborghini Diablo as the donor platform, grafting a bespoke aerodynamic carbon-fiber body over its frame and rolling gear.
Power came from a quad-turbocharged Mercedes-Benz 6.0-litre V12 rated at a claimed 920 hp, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Laraki quoted a top speed of 247 mph (398 km/h) and a 0–100 km/h sprint of 3.3 seconds, placing it among the most extreme figures of its era. The estimated asking price was approximately $555,750 — extraordinary for a brand-new marque from outside the traditional European supercar belt.
A proposed production version was shown at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show, but only a handful of examples — estimated at four to five total including display cars — were ever completed. Laraki's plans for the Fulgura faded by the late 2000s as attention shifted to an all-new design.
