History

The B6 built on the BMW 6 Series platform to produce Alpina's definitive grand tourer: twin-turbo V8 power (upward of 500 PS), an Alpina-tuned chassis emphasising ride comfort alongside cornering ability, and the bespoke interior detailing that separates every Alpina from its BMW donor.

The first generation (E63/E64, 2005–2010) was offered as coupe and convertible. The second generation (F12/F13/F06, 2011–2019) added a Gran Coupé four-door fastback from 2014, making the B6 Alpina's most bodystyle-versatile model of the era. The B6 was succeeded conceptually by the B8 Gran Coupé in 2021.
