History

Announced in March 2021 and arriving in US dealerships in late spring of that year as a 2022 model, the B8 Gran Coupé is based on the BMW 8 Series G16 Gran Coupé. It carries a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 612 PS and 590 lb-ft of torque, reaching 60 mph from rest in 3.3 seconds and topping out at 201 mph — one of the fastest Alpinas ever built.

The B8 was conceived as the direct successor to the B6 Gran Coupé and represents Alpina's flagship touring-car proposition: maximum performance wrapped in a more discreet, hand-finished package than the BMW M8 Competition. Production is expected to conclude in 2026 alongside the G16 8 Series lifecycle.
