Lancia Thesis History

The Thesis (Tipo 841) arrived in 2002 as Lancia's flagship and perhaps its most opulently equipped post-war saloon. Designed to showcase Italian luxury with innovative touches — including an electronic instrument binnacle that rotated to face the driver — it was offered with V6 petrol and diesel engines including a 3.2-litre V6.

Despite its ambition, the Thesis sold in relatively small numbers; its production run ended in 2009, effectively making it the last premium Lancia saloon before the brand contracted to Fiat-platform city cars.
