GM Korea Nubira History

The Daewoo Nubira was introduced in 1997 as the brand's mid-size compact, offered as a four-door sedan, five-door hatchback, and five-door station wagon. It occupied the slot above the Lanos in Daewoo's lineup and was aimed at European and global markets alongside South Korea.

Korean production ended in 2002, when GM Daewoo replaced the Nubira with the new Lacetti. The Nubira name was reused in some European markets for the first-generation Lacetti sedan and wagon, causing occasional naming confusion in reference literature.
