Genesis GV70 History
History
Launched for the 2022 model year as Genesis's compact luxury SUV, the GV70 slotted between the all-electric GV60 and the mid-size GV80 and quickly became the brand's single best-selling model in the US, accounting for approximately one in three Genesis vehicles sold. It competes in the densely contested segment occupied by the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Audi Q5, earning the 2022 Motor Trend SUV of the Year award in its debut season.
The GV70 is offered with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder (300 hp) or a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 (375 hp), both available with all-wheel drive, and an Electrified GV70 all-electric variant joined the lineup as well.
