Ford Mustang Mach-E History
History
Launched for 2021, the Mustang Mach-E was Ford's first ground-up electric vehicle: a battery-powered crossover SUV that borrowed the Mustang name and some styling cues — a choice that divided enthusiasts.
It became one of America's better-selling EVs, and the high-performance GT and limited Rally versions added genuine speed. (It is a separate model from the gasoline Mustang and not part of the S650 generation.)
