History

Built on the heavy-duty Super Duty truck platform, the 2000 Excursion was the biggest and heaviest SUV Ford ever sold, with seating for up to nine and serious towing capacity.

Available with a Power Stroke diesel V8, it was discontinued after 2005 as fuel prices and tastes shifted; the Expedition Max later filled the big-SUV role.
