History

The 1995 Contour was the North American version of the European Mondeo 'world car', replacing the Tempo with more sophisticated road manners.

Its standout was the SVT Contour (1998–2000), a sport sedan with a high-revving 2.5-liter Duratec V6 tuned by Ford's Special Vehicle Team.
