History

Launched for 1993, the Intrepid was a centerpiece of Chrysler's 'cab-forward' design movement — a long, low windshield and short overhangs maximized interior space in a full-size front-wheel-drive sedan.

A second generation arrived for 1998, and the high-output R/T (from 1999) added a 242-hp 3.5-liter V6. The nameplate ended after 2004.
