History

The Coronet name first ran 1949–1959 as a full-size Dodge before being retired, then returned for 1965 as the brand's mid-size B-body car.

In its second life the Coronet was a muscle-era staple — it launched the budget Super Bee for 1968 and offered big-block 440 and 426 Hemi power in R/T trim. The nameplate was retired after 1976.
