Dodge Durango History
History
The Durango launched for 1998 as a body-on-frame mid-size SUV based on the Dakota pickup, offering three rows and V8 power.
After a second body-on-frame generation, the Durango was reborn for 2011 as a unibody SUV sharing its platform with the Jeep Grand Cherokee. It later gained serious performance with the SRT 392 and the supercharged 710-hp SRT Hellcat.
